Safe Harbor

“Safe Harbor” is a 14”x18” charcoal/pastel drawing of the sailboat Islita anchored on Silver Lake on Ocracoke Island. With a predominantly orange pastel sky and some of the most detailed structures I’ve ever drawn, I think this drawing may exemplify the things I draw best along with the new technique I’ve developed over the last year since drawing Brunswick County.
