"The Smyrna United Methodist Church" is a 14"x18" charcoal/colored pencil drawing of what if felt was the most drawable church in Down East North Carolina.  When drawing a collection of drawings for my "Down East NC-Beyond the North River" exhibit, local Down Easterners told me to draw their churches, as they are all a big part of living in these rather isolated communities, and here is the one I felt had the most potential to draw.  It's an all charcoal drawing with only the windows being drawn in colored pencil, which had to be muted with some grays to prevent the green from taking over.  The unframed original is 500.00.  Signed and numbered, limited edition (1000) archival quality prints (11"x14" image centered on 13"x16" Epson hot press 300 gsm paper) are available for 75.00.
