"Messing About in Varnamtown" is a 14"x18" charcoal/pastel drawing of a serene setting in Varnamtown, NC, a small coastal fishing community in Brunswick County. Here is realism at its finest with nothing iconic in sight except a boy and a girl in a boat with their dog going out in the late afternoon.  The marshgrass and white herons are depicted in pastels in the drawing and helps accentuate the still dark water and the quiet nature of what I'm trying to accomplish, depicting the real life of coastal North Carolina.  The unframed original drawing is 500.00. Signed and numbered, limited edition (1000) archival quality prints (11"x14" image centered on 13"x16" Epson hot press 300 gsm paper) are available for 75.00.
