At Rest in Mann's Harbor
"Resting in Mann's Harbor" is a 14"x18" charcoal/pastel drawing of a fishing boat inbetween shifts at Mann's Harbor. After using charcoal to draw everything a part of the boat in charcoal for detail, I drew the baskets, the shovel, the nets, and most importantly the outside view in full pastels..which brought the whole drawing to life. As I find myself saying more and more, this isn't my usual scene (I'm usually drawing landscapes or seascapes) but then it seems I'm drawing pretty much everything these days. Pastels have given my art a new dimension that charcoal by itself couldn't quite pull of as well...even with great detail and shading. The original unframed 14"x18" drawing is offered for 550.00….and is now sold. Signed and numbered, limited edition (1000), giclee, archival quality prints (11"x14" image centered on 13"x16" hot press heavy 300gsm paper) are available for 75.00.
